Actor, Singer, Musician
Welcome to my site!
I am a New York based actor and artist always looking to explore, to learn, and to connect - on stage, on set, and in life. Born into a Hungarian-American family (which accounts for the odd silent "j" in my last name), my earliest memories involved watching my favorite movies over and over until I could act out scenes from them perfectly. I would sing and I would write my own stories to share with my family. And twenty-some years later not too much has changed...I still love good stories and I love to help tell them.
I've been seen on the New York stage in Sweeney Todd (Innovative Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor), John & Jen, Titus Andronicus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and many others. Favorite Regional Credits include the regional premiere of Ghost the Musical (Broadway World nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Musical), Dogfight (Broadway World nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Musical), and Fiorello! I also have had the honor of singing at Radio City Music Hall.
Apart from that, I am a soccer fan and player, a roller coaster enthusiast, a traveler, an avid reader, comic book nerd, and musician. I hold a degree in Vocal Performance from NYU Steinhardt, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude, am a co-founder of Siren & Sailor Theatre Co., LLC and am a proud member of Actors' Equity. I can't wait for what's next!
Enjoy the site and thanks for visiting!

"...cleverly portrayed by Zack Krajnyak." - Alex Hajjar, Brooklyn Spectator
Zack Krajnyak offers an endearing performance...his voice rings clean and clear" - Neal Zoren, DC Metro
"Catherine Purcell and Zack Krajnyak as lovers Johanna and Anthony were wonderful, adeptly showing why romances worth dying for make for the most beautiful stories. With the bounce in their steps of young lovers and the beautiful voices that would make anyone swoon, they were ideal for the roles." - Kristen Morale, BroadwayWorld
